A tiny black and white kitten looked through her amber eyes and looked around her clan's territory. She bounded through the marsh, not caring how dirty she had gotten. Her name was kageyuri actually she usually went by Yuri. Yuri was one of the younger cats of the Shadowclan but she had a knack for learning and exploring, it had always been her favorite past time.
She carefully watched a dragonfly fly onto her pink nose she looked at it up close with her cat eyes. She went to swat it before it flew off.
"Hey I just wanted to play." Yuri said innocently as she hopped through the swamp.

Shadepaw was out hunting. He wasn't paying much attention to where he was going, just scenting the air and watching for borders. And of course killing the prey he found. So far Shadepaw had caught 2 frogs and a mouse, but he didn't want to end there.
Maybe if I stock the fresh-kill pile, Darkleaf will be proud.. Shadepaw thought happily. He had been devoting all his time to trying to impress his mentor lately. He barely slept, but determination kept him awake.
Shadepaw wasn't paying attention, and ran right into Kageyuri. He quickly scrambled to his paws.
"H-hey Yuri. Didn't see you there!" He meowed.

(OOC: thanks for the comment on my bio btw  ) Yuri was just about to catch the dragonfly when she felt something run into her. The young cat yelped as she hopped away unbalanced from the older cat. It was a cat from her clan, thankfully. "Watch where your going Shadepaw!" Yuri looked up at the bigger cat with her wide innocent amber eyes. The stare didn't last too long when she noticed another dragonfly near the swamp, or maybe it was the one from before she wasn't sure. Yuri just wanted to play, the young cat tried to get up but it seemed as if she was stuck. "Aww kitboogers..." She meowed attempting to get her long black tail free. |

Shadepaw's whiskers twitched at the younger apprentice. He leaned down and bit at the bracken holding Yuri's tail. It quickly snapped.
That was weird... theres not much bracken on our territory.. He thought to himself.
"Trying to catch that dragonfly?" Shadepaw asked, still clearly amused. Without waiting for a reply, he turned around and chased after the dragonfly, catching it in his paws.

"Thanks" Yuri said as her tail was free.
The kitten who was about 5 moons caressed her long black tail as she cleaned it making sure it wasn't damaged. She finished cleaning it and moved it a bit, no pain, at least that was a good thing. She watched as the older cat caught the dragonfly. In Awe she watched as the polder cat caught the dragonfly.
Yuri went over to Shadepaw then looked up at him then at the dragonfly. "Yeah that's what i was trying to do" She finally said.
Yuri moved her tiny paw to get at the dragonfly.

Shadepaw moved his paws around so Yuri could grab the dragonfly. His mind had completely forgotten about hunting and impressing Darkleaf, which was probably a good thing.
Shadepaw couldn't help but be very, very amused at the young cat.

The dragon fly was free from the older cat's paw. Yuri watched as it flew, she slowly snuck up on it and pounced on the dragonfly. She had her tiny paws down and her bottom was higher than the rest of her body she was doing the play bow. The cat tried to get the dragonfly each time it moved but eventually let it go something else catching her eye. She stepped at the edge of the swamplands the Shadowlands as she gazed with her amber eyes to the distance she lightly stood up on her hind legs her tiny claws digging into a nearby dead tree.
"Do you know what its like Shadepaw?" The kitten asked. "What its like out there? The stories the elders tell don't really help much. I hear about the clans and the twolegs. But what is it really like?" The curious kitten asked.
Yuri tried to climb the dead tree, it wasn't that high but she was also much smaller than others.

Shadepaw thought for a moment. He was an excellent hunter, but his mentor hadn't gotten around to teaching him battle moves yet. Then again, there wasn't many battles to be fought. Skyclan's return had shocked all the clans, enough that they didn't think much about battle.
"Theres four other clans, and I've heard their a lot like ShadowClan. I'm not entirely sure, I've never been to a gather, or in a fight with another clan."
Shadepaw could hear the longing in his voice. He wanted to go to a gathering and meet the other clans. He even wanted to fight, simply to see and learn about the other clans.
The twoleged part of the question took Shadepaw longer to answer. Once a twoleg kit had chased him and tried to grab him when he was a kit. Ever since he couldn't help but feel terrified of the large creatures.
"I really don't know much about twolegs either.." Shadepaw finally replied.

Yuri used her strength to climb up the dead tree her claw marks making her known she sat on the branch and gazed across the lands. it was a whole world outside of the Shadow clan territory. She wanted so bad to explore it all. But she also heard how dangerous it was out there for kits like herself.
Stepping lightly across the branch to see more Yuri heard a crack. She quickly stepped backwards because she didn't want to fall right after she backed up enough the branch broke in half, but Yuri was safe.
"I didn't think I was that heavy." She meowed curiously.

Shadepaw smiled with laughter.
"Your not. ShadowClan trees are just really flimsy." He replied, recalling many times he had attempted to climb to the top of these "flimsy" trees.

"Oh" Yuri replied.
The kit adjusted herself on the small part of the branch as she looked across noticing bits and pieces of the other clan territories and twolegs places. She sat on her bum and her black tail hung down off the branch. She then licked her paw and spread it over her head.
"Does shadowclan have the biggest territory?" She asked. "It kind of looks like it"

Shadepaw tilted his head to one side.
"I hear RiverClan has really small territory, because they have a big river on they're territory." He meowed.
"But besides that, it does seem like we have a big territory. Then again, WindClan have moors and ThunderClan has trees and stuff everywhere... it's hard to tell."

She listened to the older cat tell her a bit more of the clans. Some things she knew while other information was new to her. Being a kit, most things were new for her but she loved to learn more.
"How many moons do I get to start my training?" Yuri lied on the branch that she could Just fit on and looking down at Shadepaw.
"I want to learn more about the world I want to explore it..." The kit said with determination until she got herself distracted.
"...OOO SHINY!" she said noticing something hanging off of the tree. It was a string hanging off of the branch above the kit's head. She got on her hind legs to try to get at it.

Shadepaw just smiled up at the kit.
Wait.. what is she doing? He thought instantly.
"Yuri don't! You might fall or get hurt!" He called out. He would be in a ton of trouble if he let this fun kit get hurt.

(OOC: Whee a bit of muse posting before it disappears)
Yuri swatted the piece of shiny string like substance with her paw. Trying to get it she was high on her hind legs and started to wobble a bit so she lowered her body. A slight wind caught the shiny string and it floated in the air Yuri was able to catch it with her tiny claw but lost her footing on the branch.
"EEP!" the kit squeaked as she clung onto the branch with her front claws her hind legs hanging down.
