Cherrystar slowly stood up, stretching her paws. She knew exactly what Icepaw was playing at, but lucky enough for Cherrystar, she was an excellent fighter.
"Yes Sparrowtail," Cherrystar couldn't stop her annoyance from seeping into her words, "Why don't we show Icepaw how real warriors do it."

"Umm, okay," Sparrowtail said, caught off guard. She was one of the best fighters in the clan because she had a few of her own moves that she made up. "Soo... should we demonstrate the move I was doing with Icepaw or should we fight and show Icepaw how well Riverclan can fight?" She questioned.

Cherrystar couldn't help but feel nervous. Sparrowtail was her deputy and a great fighter. Many times in battle Cherrystar had felt happy she would never have to fight Sparrowtail. Then again, this wasn't a real fight, just a play fight. Or so it seemed...
"How about we continue with the move you were showing Icepaw?" Cherrystar suggested. She had the perfect counterstrike for it.

"Okay," Sparrowtail said then leaped onto Cherrystar's back and forced all her weight on her, making sure she couldn't buck her off. She breathed in and out and braced herself for Cherrystar's next move and thought that Cherrystar would buck her off. Thinking of this she planned ahead to be a quick step ahead of her opponent. Then Sparrowtail thought What if she has another move in mind? So she thought of a few more tricks she had seen Cherrystar use in battle when she and her fought side by side in fights with the other clans. This only took Sparrowtail a few seconds to process in her clever mind.

Cherrystar couldn't help but grin. She had her own little move for this one. Instead of trying to throw Sparrowtail off or turn around, she rolled onto her back, squishing Sparrowtail between her ginger fur and the ground.
I don't think theres a counterattack for becoming a pancake! Cherrystar thought to herself.

Battle moves were racing through Sparrowtail's but she just couldn't think of another move to throw Cherrystar off. Then it hit her... Sparrowtail gather her strength in all four paws then push up. She then rolled away from Cherrystar seeing as she only had a few seconds because she couldn't push Cherrystar that high only a few inches. But that gave her just enough room to roll away. Another move of my own! Sparrowtail thought.

Hmm... she rolled. Cherrystar thought curiously for a moment.
While Sparrowtail was rolling or doing... whatever xD Cherrystar thought quickly about her next move. Then she stopped.
"Okay Icepaw, what did you learn?" She asked the apprentice.

Sparrowtail glared at Icepaw and started grooming herself, not wanting to catch Cherrystar's eyes.

Cherrystar growled.
"Okay then, Icepaw, that means you learned nothing. You can hunt for the clan awhile. Sparrowtail can take it from there."
Cherrystar turned to stalk back to camp, but then stopped.
"Sparrowtail, come here a moment?" She asked, beckoning her deputy forward with her tail.

Icepaw opened her mouth to protest but shut it. She turned and walked off tail dragging. She hadn't meant to yell it ou and she meant to pay attention but she got distracted by something else. She blinked hard holding back tears that were about to burn her face

Sparrowtail nodded and padded over to Cherrystar. She turned around and made sure Icepaw was out of sight before she said anything. "Yes, Cherrystar?" she then questioned when the coast was clear.

Cherrystar sighed, turning her attention to her deputy.
"As you may have noticed, shes a little..." Cherrystar paused as she searched for the right word, "Difficult." She finally finished.
"Can you please try to teach her to keep her attitude to herself? I mean, she has the right to speak up and all, but there is times when it is best to just be quiet!"
